As you may be aware, our Race format will be changing next year. We had outlined some options at our AGM and called for feedback from Club members.  Thanks to all who provided us with feed-back, there were some excellent ideas.  A summary of new format is :

Summer Series - February, March, April and May

Enduro Day - June

Winter Series - August, September, October and December

Club Champs - November

no meeting in July

Penalty points for anybody who misses a Club Day have been reduced, and will now be calculated by the sum of last place points plus five.

We're hoping this will be a refreshing change, and we're looking forward to racing under the new format.

The next working bee to be held at the track is scheduled for Tuesday 18 November from 5.00 pm.  Please make it if you can. Thanks to all those who keep on turning up for the working bees. Any questions, telephone Maurice Frost on 7588891 or Robert Boniface (027) 592 4210.

For those of you who may not know, Wendy is one of our Race Secretaries who runs the timing lap-top in the Chook House on Club Days.  Without Wendy's help, it would be a struggle for us to keep our Club Days running.  It can be a challenging job, coping with all the technological issues that crop up with the timing system, sorting out grid draws and allocating points.  Wendy volunteers her own time to help us out.

Wendy has just been appointed as a member of the Motorsport NZ Youth Commission, which was formed three years ago to promote and support Youth in all forms of motorsport.  The Taranaki Daily News has run an article on Wendy - can you read it here:

Wendy is aiming to complete a year long course next year with Sabre Motorsport, and if accepted, she will need to raise $15,000.00 to attend.  We wish you all the very best Wendy, we're very fortunate to have you and we'll support you all the way.
