Clubdays

The Club meets on the last Sunday of each month (wet or fine), with the exception of the December meeting which is brought forward to avoid Christmas.   Details can be found on our Calendar.   Gates open at 7.30am, scrutineering and entries from 8:00 - 9:00am, practice from 9:30am, and racing is usually underway by 10:00am.

 

Classes

Classes regularly raced at clubdays are Cadet, Junior Restricted, Junior, Open & Clubclass/KT Heavy/KT Light, Rotax Max light & Heavies.   These classes are run in accordance with Kartsport New Zealand class rules & regulations.

 

Track Use

The track can be accessed by any financial member of any Kartsport New Zealand affiliated club, between the hours of 10:00am and 5:30pm (6:30pm during Daylight Saving) for practice.   Hire Keys are available for this purpose, the details and conditions of which can be obtained from the club secretary.

 

Location

The Club’s track is located at the end of Joll Street, Waitara, adjacent to the Waitara River, off State Highway 3, 15 minutes North of New Plymouth.   A map is provided for printing and easy reference.

 

Membership

The Taranaki Kart Club has a total membership for the current year of 163 .   Membership to the Taranaki Kart Club can be applied for using the application form provided.

 

Suppliers

The Taranaki Kart Club currently has one full time kart equipment supplier within it’s ranks, Supreme Kart Supplies and one part time FKR-Taranaki, who cater for the member’s parts, upgrade, consumables & engine building requirements.
